Located in the heart of downtown Des Moines, the Embassy Suites offers scenic views of the river and easy access to an unbeatable range of Des Moines businesses and attractions. Located between the Iowa State Capitol campus and the downtown business and entertainment district, the facility is the ideal venue for the SERA-17 annual meeting. Attendees are just a short walk away from attractions including the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates, the Iowa Historical Building, Court Avenue with it's wide range of dining and entertainment, and Principal Park - Home of the Iowa Cubs (who are playing an 8-game home stand during the meetings!). Take a stroll along the Principal Riverwalk or catch a concert at the Simon Estes Amphitheater. SERA-17
Is an organization of research scientists, policy makers, extension personnel, and educators. Our mission is to develop and promote innovative solutions to minimize phosphorus losses from agriculture by supporting:
- information exchange between research, extension, and regulatory communities
- recommendations for phosphorus management and research
- initiatives that address phosphorus loss in agriculture
