The Bear Creek Riparian Management System site has been in existence since 1990 and groundwater quality impacts of multi-species riparian buffers have been monitored since 1996. We present the results of a 2000-01 study of groundwater quality at 6 sites in buffers of differing age. The results suggest large temporal and spatial differences in N removal efficiencies in groundwater in the watershed.
