From 1991 until 2001, the Sny Magill watershed in northeastern Iowa underwent a series of best management practice (BMP) implementations. These practices were meant to reduce sediment, pesticides, and nutrients entering Sny Magill Creek. A paired watershed monitoring design was employed to evaluate BMP effectiveness. Results indicate that during the project period sediment and turbidity in Sny Magill Creek decreased, while nitrates and discharge increased.
